Kim Bomberger

Kimberly Bomberger brings a unique blend of national security, foreign policy, and leadership development expertise. She also has extensive experience living and working abroad. Before joining JKM, Kimberly was an advisor for Orbis Operations, where she engaged with international clients on national security issues. She is also an executive leadership coach, working with public and private sector leaders to deepen self-awareness, navigate change, understand their impact on others, and strengthen performance. She is skilled at assessing leadership strengths and growth opportunities and incorporates a variety of tools including the Hogan Personality Assessment and the Enneagram into her work.

Prior to these roles, Kimberly spent more than 20 years in the federal government. For most of her career, Kimberly was a CIA officer; she prepared assessments of world leaders to help senior policymakers in the White House, Congress, and the U.S. military understand and deal with their foreign counterparts. She has led high-profile analytic teams and programs and worked with colleagues at the FBI to strengthen analytic efforts and deepen cooperation following the September 11 attacks. Kimberly completed her government service as a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State in the Middle East.

Kimberly received a master’s degree in History from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Austin College. She also earned a Leadership Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University.

Kimberly serves as a mentor for Girl Security. Originally from north Texas, she and her husband now live in Lancaster, Pa. Kimberly is the proud stepmom of two sons.
